WILASC Makerspace Membership: A place to make, experiment, and keep creating.

The WILASC Makerspace Membership gives young makers and families ongoing access to a creative space where they can build, design, code, tinker, and work on projects of their own.

Unlike our classes and How-To Workshops, Open Makerspace does not follow a set curriculum. Members can bring an idea or project they want to work on, continue something they started in a WILASC class or workshop, or simply come in and see what inspires them.

Depending on availability, makers may have access to tools and resources such as LEGO and robotics equipment, computers, 3D design and printing, art and craft supplies, and other maker tools.

MEMBERSHIP PERKS: Two Open Makerspace sessions each month

- Join us for two scheduled 2-hour Open Studio sessions each month. That's up to four hours of dedicated making time to create, experiment, or continue your own projects.

BONUS MAKERPSPACE ACCESS
Members may also use the Makerspace during designated staffed hours when space is available. Bonus access varies according to WILASC's schedule and will be announced to members.

ACCESS TO OUR TOOLS & EQUIPMENTS
Use selected WILASC maker tools and equipment appropriate to your age and experience, including computers, LEGO and robotics equipment, 3D design and printing tools, and creative supplies.

BASIC & REUSABLE MAKERSPACE MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED
Specialty materials, electronics, large 3D prints, or projects requiring significant consumables may have a small additional materials fee.

KEEP YOUR PROJECTS GOING
Started something in a coding class, 3D printing workshop, or another WILASC program? Makerspace gives you time to keep experimenting and take your project further.

A COMMUNITY OF MAKERS
Meet other kids and families who enjoy building, designing, coding, crafting, and figuring things out. Makerspace is designed to encourage independent exploration, collaboration, and sharing ideas.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

Individual Maker — $15/month
For one independent maker (age 12+) or one child under 12 accompanied by a parent
*NOTE:

Family Maker — $25/month.
For members of one household who want to make and explore together. Up to 3 family members/sessions. (If you want to bring more family members to a certain session, please check with us first for spot availability).

Membership includes the two scheduled monthly Open Makerspace sessions plus access to designated bonus Makerspace hours when available.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Open Makerspace is a supervised creative workspace rather than a formal class. Staff are available for supervision and light guidance, but members should not expect step-by-step instruction during Open Studio.

Advance RSVP is required for scheduled Open Studios and bonus access so that we can maintain a safe and comfortable number of makers in the space.

Some tools require an orientation or staff approval before independent use. Access to equipment may vary by age, experience, project, and staff availability.

An adult needs to be present with children (under 18) during designated bonus Makerspace hours. We do not provide childcare.

Formal classes, How-To Workshops, camps, and private instruction are not included in the membership and are registered for separately (with discount for members)
